NEED
VMware needed  to count with an e-learning solution for its products of virtualization suite in Spanish and Portuguese for all the Latin American market.

For that matter it was necessary to carry out an e-learning solution, as well as the precise translation of the terminology relative to virtual infrastructure, text edition and the locution in both languages.

BUSINESS CHALLENGE
The biggest challenge the project impose was to fully complete the digital presentations, including the transcription of the original audio material, translation of the script to Spanish and Portuguese, text edition, locution of the the audio material in both languages and final building of the Flash presentations.

A project of this nature for an American company, global leader in virtual infrastructure for standard industrial systems, always is taken as a nice challenge that requires the highest QA standards.

VMware trusted in us for being specialists in IT technology, taking into account that the project needed the translation of the presentation's script that included very precise technical terminology. We also perfectly interpreted the client's need and solved the project entirely, taking care not only of the translation of the text, both to Spanish and Portuguese and the building of the Flash presentations, but also of the locutions in both languages.

PROJECT DETAILS
From the beginning meticulous work was done on the confection of a glossary of the terminology used by VMware for its products, in a way that permitted coherence all through the translation of the script.

The e-learning platform was prepared to publish the requested demos of the products.

The transcription of the audio material in English had to be done, as the client did not count with the script with which the original digital presentation was made.

A team of translators worked exclusively in the project to achieve the scripts in Spanish and Portuguese rapidly, to be able, therefore, to interact with the client in order to make the necessary changes on the scripts.

Once finished with the stage of Translation and edition of the texts, the locution job was started. The locutions were carried out taking as starting point an analysis on the sections' timing, in order to prevent the presentations from extending too much, taking into account that Spanish and Portuguese use between 15 – 20% more words than English does.

Lastly, our Flash specialized designers carried out the final building of both e-learning, adapting the images to the audio material in the two new languages.
